Cocoa Curry Coco has always been one of Jeni’s favorite flavors. Jeni has been making some version of this ice cream since her early days making ice cream. Back then, she called it Gucci Muu Muu because the ingredients are a combination of decadent and exotic, and they evoke a colorful pattern. No matter the name, Cocoa Curry Coco has always reminded Jeni of a great candy bar—creamy milk-first chocolate, complementing flavors, a little texture. We start with milk chocolate ice cream loaded with evaporated milk. Then season it with a beautiful soft curry—a blend of fragrant spices like turmeric, coriander, cardamom, and fenugreek (which smells a lot like maple sugar)—and finish with coconut flakes for texture and flavor. An extraordinarily familiar unfamiliar flavor.
